The Palestine-Global Mental Health Network and our international counterparts call upon US lawmakers and global leaders to uphold international law, particularly the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and protect Palestinian children by ending financial, military, and diplomatic support for Israel’s human rights abuses.

Why This Matters
The “ceasefire” in Gaza hasn’t stopped Israel’s still ongoing genocide of Palestinians, particularly in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. (See Mondoweiss article)The US has continued to provide financial, military, and diplomatic backing for Israel’s horrific policies of ethnic cleansing.

Imagine finally returning to your home after more than a year, only to find nothing but rubble and shattered belongings. Imagine rushing your sick child to the hospital, only to discover there is no medicine to treat them. Imagine trying to explain to your children—again—that there isn’t enough food because Israel’s siege has cut off essential supplies. Imagine your child being arrested for throwing a rock at a tank, knowing the law is not on their side.  

How would it feel if your children were the only ones in the world prosecuted in military courts?  How would you feel watching the heartbreak on your children’s faces as you demolish your own home under orders from the occupying force? Could you endure the moment when the walls they grew up in crumble at your hands? 

These are not distant tragedies; they are the daily realities of families living under occupation. Pause for a moment and truly ask yourself: If this were your child, how would you feel?

Every child deserves a life of safety, free from fear and systematic persecution, without exception. If you agree that this is an unshakable moral imperative, we urge you to take action and sign our petition demanding that US lawmakers and world leaders enforce accountability.
